FAMILY RELATIONS   NOVEMBER 27, 2021 10 Fatherhood and Finance ___ Jocelynn Linton Hello friends! I hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving weekend! Thanksgiving is a wonderful time where we have the opportunity to appreciate our families as well as everything else that we have been blessed with. It is a time when we can draw closer to one another and gain a deeper appreciation for the roles that each member in the family plays. Today we are going to be talking specifically about fathers and the different roles that they play in the family. One of these roles deals with the father being the family unit’s primary provider. That is where the financial aspect comes in. As you read this article, I would like you to think back on your father, or any positive father figure that you had in your life who changed it for the better. You can probably think of many instances where you needed the support and care that only a father could have provided. Hopefully, most of you were lucky enough t

FAMILY RELATIONS   NOVEMBER 20, 2021 09 Communication ___ Jocelynn Linton Welcome back! Today we are talking about one of the most important aspects to a successful and long lasting relationship. Today we are going to be talking about different stressors in the family. Families are one of the most amazing things that we have on this earth. They are our support system. They are there when no one else is. Of course, not all of our family is biological. Even though families are great, no family comes without hardship or difficulty. Every family goes through different experiences that shape and grow them in different ways. The thing that makes them different is how they react to those experiences. These situations can be known as stressors, or in more extreme cases, crises. Whenever one of these events occurs, there are usually two different ways people react. It either pulls them apart, or draws them closer together. Whether this be divorce, death of a loved one, loss of a job, etc. A strong family can pull through anything. And, if they choose to

Marital Intimacy

FAMILY RELATIONS   NOVEMBER 6, 2021 07 Marital Intimacy  ___ Jocelynn Linton Welcome back to my blog! I hope all of you have had a wonderful week! I am very excited to talk about today’s topic, because it is something that I am learning more and more about every day. Today’s topic is marital intimacy. This is something that I feel like everyone, whether they’re single, dating or married, can learn more about. Marital intimacy is something that is not talked about very often, and can be considered somewhat of a taboo subject. The world portrays sex and marriage as something completely different from what it actually is. Not only do we need to correctly educate ourselves from reliable sources, but we need to make sure that we are able to openly talk about it in a respectful and correct way. We covered so many interesting things in class this week, that I could go on and on. But not very many people have that much time, so I will try to condense into a few thoughts the overall point I&#
